Meg Ryan triple bill. In ‘You’ve Got Mail’, Joe Fox (Tom Hanks) and Kathleen Kelly (Ryan) are rivals in business: he working for Fox & Sons, a chain of discount bookstores; she owning a tiny bookshop of her own. However, unaware of their true identities, Kathleen and Joe have begun communicating anonymously via an e-mail chat room, building a strong and caring relationship without ever revealing their names. Eventually, the curious couple arrange to meet, but will their cyber-love survive in the real world? In ‘Addicted to Love’, astronomer Sam (Matthew Broderick) is ditched by his childhood sweetheart and rents the flat opposite her apartment, ready to spy on her and her new boyfriend. The man his lost love Linda (Kelly Preston) has taken up with is Aton (Tcheky Karyo), who has in turn dumped his own fianc?e – photographer Maggie (Ryan), who now wants revenge. Maggie teams up with Sam to launch a campaign of terror against Aton and Linda, with hilarious consequences. In ‘City of Angels’, a Hollywood remake of Wim Wenders’ art-house hit ‘Wings of Desire’, Nicolas Cage stars as an angel desperate to hang up his wings and join the mortal rank-and-file. His chief object of affection is a distinctly down-to-earth surgeon (Ryan), who needs some convincing that the man she starts falling in love with has sacrificed immortality to be with her.
