This film, from director Royston Tan, tells of the relationship between Xiao Wu (Xiao Li yuan), a cough syrup guzzling, eleven-year-old Chinese Boy and his absent mother’s heavy drinking, pill-popping tenant, Jung (Young-jun Kim), a thirty-something Korean man. Told from Xiao Wu’s perspective, the film follows the boy’s growing fascination with his housemate as he gradually begins to realise Jung’s real reason for staying in Singapore…
