In Heaven, the angel Gabriel orders his subordinates Jackson (Delroy Lindo) and O’Reilly (Holly Hunter) to make rich girl Celine (Cameron Diaz) and impoverished janitor Robert (Ewan McGregor) fall in love. When Robert is fired by Celine’s father, Neville (Ian Holm), Celine convinces Robert to ‘kidnap’ her, so that they can split the ransom. The pair go on the run, but their love affair looks set to fall apart before it has even begun. This Hollywood debut from the ‘Shallow Grave’ and ‘Trainspotting’ team features the usual hip soundtrack, including tracks by Beck, Ash and Underworld.
